WorkandLife was founded in the year 2000 by its founders, Mª Pilar Casado and Claudia Caso, who shared extensive experience in consulting. During their pregnancies, both faced the challenge of balancing demanding, dedicated work with raising their children. This led them to consider establishing a nursery within the same workplace as a solution to facilitate work-life balance.
This idea gained further momentum after observing that, at that time, the recently enacted Labour and Family Life Balance Act highlighted the growing interest in achieving a better equilibrium between personal and professional life—what is commonly known as “Work-Life Balance”. Furthermore, they noticed that in Spain, there were no companies specialising in offering comprehensive solutions in this area, unlike in other countries, primarily the United States, where established models had been in place since the 1980s.
With this vision, and after two years of in-depth analysis of the sector in Spain, Mª Pilar’s husband, Victoriano Casajús, joined the project, and with the support of Claudia’s father as a financial partner, the four of them established Grupo WorkandLife S.L.
Since then, the team composed of the three active partners—Claudia, Mª Pilar, and Victoriano—has been providing consultancy services in Human Resources and managing childcare centres for children aged 0-3, aimed at employees’ children. They also offer complementary services such as camps and school holiday care for children aged 3 to 12
Over the years, the organisation has gained recognition for the quality of education and the reliability of its management, both within the business and institutional sectors, as well as among families and the educational community.
